System Performance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced System Performance Specialist to join our team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize performance.

  • Technical Competencies:
  • Observability Systems Expertise: In-depth knowledge of observability systems (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace) with a proven track record of successful implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Modern Observability Practices: Strong understanding of modern observability practices (SRE, SLI/SLO, Synthetic, APM, RUM) and ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
  • Script Development: Excellent skills in script development using Python, Shell, and PowerShell with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • CICD Tools: Good knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins with experience in automating workflows and deployments.
  • ITIL Framework: Familiarity with ITIL or similar ITSM frameworks and tools with a focus on incident management and problem-solving.
  • Ticketing System: Experience working with Service Now ticketing system and ability to manage and resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Agile Methodology: Understanding of Agile framework and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Distributed Systems Knowledge: Understanding of key concepts of distributed systems and ability to design and implement scalable architectures.
  • Linux Administration: Basic knowledge of RedHat Linux administration and performance management with a focus on security and reliability.
  • Ansible and Containerization: Familiarity with Ansible and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, OpenShift) with a focus on automation and orchestration.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably IBM Cloud) with a focus on scalability and cost optimization.
