Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing scalable APIs, integrating structured data with AI models, and ensuring the platform remains secure and reliable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and maintaining backend services and APIs for core objects;
  • Integrating LLMs with structured data through function calling and other workflows;
  • Implementing systems that ensure AI outputs are traceable and reliable;
  • Developing and optimizing data models in Postgres/Prisma;
  • Building secure, multi-tenant features with RBAC/ABAC and audit logging;
  • Supporting embeddings and vector search for intelligent free-text queries;
  • Optimizing pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development;
  • Strong skills in Node.js/NestJS (or similar frameworks);
  • Proficiency in REST & GraphQL API design;
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres (Prisma or TypeORM);
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and AI/ML workflows;
  • Understanding of event-driven systems (SQS/Kafka/NATS);
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote, international team.
