
Business Development Manager

Key Objectives:
- Effectively manage existing partnerships and identify new opportunities to increase market penetration and achieve sales targets in line with organization-wide goals.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with partners to achieve revenue targets for allocated regions by acquiring and managing end-to-end sales cycles.
- Negotiate pricing and costs with partners to ensure profitability for the company.
- Explore new business opportunities with Ministries of Health to receive special approvals and NOC for emergency supplies.
- Coordinate delivery of orders on time by working with the SCM team.
Marketing Support:
- Develop and execute marketing plans in partnership with commercial teams to facilitate key conferences in the region.
- Collaborate with internal medical teams to provide design and content support for promotional materials.
New Product Opportunities:
- Identify and recommend new product opportunities within allocated countries across therapy areas based on gap analysis and product mapping.
- Prepare comprehensive business cases around new product feasibility and submit to regional heads for decision making and approval.
Sales Order Execution:
- Resolve major bottlenecks/issues hampering order execution by conducting regular meetings with Regulatory, order processing, and other teams as per issue.
- Manage batch-size issues with partners and internal inventory departments.
Cost Optimization:
- Submit annual budget reports at the start of the year based on costs and sales targets to maintain pricing for every order and achieve product profitability.
Required Qualifications:
MBA from a leading business school (Tier 1), preferably in international business or a related field.
Desired Experience:
- 4-7 years of experience in business development within a pharmaceutical company handling complex business regions with 1-2 years of on-field exposure.
- Well-acquainted with Commercial Unit's backend processes and systems.
