Job Description

Lemongrass, a global leader in SAP consulting, is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to lead the administration, optimization, and security of its Oracle database landscape.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with SAP-Oracle integration or collaboration with SAP Basis teams.

The successful applicant will be responsible for administering, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting multiple Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c) in production, development, and QA environments.

Key responsibilities include performing installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations, optimizing database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and advanced tuning techniques, managing high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate, and implementing and testing robust backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and/or third-party tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large-scale, enterprise-grade environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN
  • Performance tuning (SQL, instance-level)
  • Backup/recovery and storage management
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and diagnostics
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and automation.
  • Experience in both on-prem and cloud-based Oracle DB setups.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud
