Transaction Advisory Services Role

About this role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Transaction Advisory Services expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, performing financial due diligence on behalf of middle market companies and private equity firms, and aggregating, manipulating, and analyzing company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks impacting the company.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in Accounting and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of applicable work experience including experience in audit or transaction advisory services preferably with a national firm, midsize. Licensed CPA/equivalent certification is preferred along with advanced MS Excel skills and strong working knowledge of other MS Office applications, specifically PowerPoint. The ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary is essential.

Key responsibilities include writing detailed reports to present diligence findings to clients, working directly with Management and Managing Directors to advise clients on how to maximize opportunities and minimize risks related to mergers and acquisitions and provide recommendations in the context of valuation and deal structuring alternatives, participating in developing and proposing creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and effectively managing problem resolution, interfacing with senior executives of clients and target companies, displaying the ability to manage and prioritize team responsibilities, and proactively consulting with Managers, Directors and Managing Directors. We are also looking for someone who can play an integral role in developing relationships with current and prospective clients, identify market opportunities and articulate our value proposition.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of applicable work experience including experience in audit or transaction advisory services (preferably with a national firm, midsize)
  • Licensed CPA/equivalent certification is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and strong working knowledge of other MS Office applications, specifically PowerPoint
  • Possess an uncommon drive and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
