Our company is seeking an experienced ETL Testing Specialist to join our team.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in ETL testing, data quality assurance, and process execution.

Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth execution of ETL processes and identify any issues related to data quality, integrity, and flow.

You will work closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure that ETL processes meet expected standards.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Understanding high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents to grasp project requirements
  • Setting up development and user acceptance testing environments in Teradata, Unix, or Hadoop
  • Allocating space to Teradata databases in system integration testing and user acceptance testing environments
  • Forklifting seed data from production to test environments using Teradata utilities
  • Creating forklift jobs in mainframe to move production data to mainframe files using Fast-Export Utility and Network Data Management (NDM)
  • Setting up extract, transform, load (ETL) jobs in regression efforts and executing flows in Autosys and mainframe
  • Analyzing tasks and assigning them to team members daily, actively participating in design review meetings and defect review meetings
  • Preparing test cases with the help of test plans and reviewing with the development team
  • Creating effective SQL scripts to validate change data capture logic in Teradata
  • Developing automation script modules in Tosca to execute regression scripts

This role requires:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of overall testing experience
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud platform expertise
  • Working knowledge of structured and unstructured file formats, including Avro and Parquet files
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL language skills
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of data architectures, data warehousing, and data lake concepts

Prior ETL testing experience is a plus.
