Business Operations Assistant

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Onboarding: Assist with preparing offer letters, induction materials, and first-day experiences to make joiners feel welcome.
  • HRIS Management: Support maintaining accurate data on attendance, leave, documents, birthdays, anniversaries.
  • Employee Exit: Help with offboarding formalities, including exit letters and documentation, to ensure respectful and smooth transitions.
  • Policy Support: Collaborate with drafting, updating, and communicating People policies in line with our async-first culture.
  • Event & Engagement: Coordinate book clubs, tech meetups, and casual team check-ins to live our culture.
  • Compliance & Admin: Assist with documentation, agreements, and record-keeping to maintain audit readiness.
  • Pulse Checks: Collect and summarize employee feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Experiment with process improvements to enhance efficiency and drive results.

Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience in event planning, logistics, or admin coordination; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; and interest in People, operations, or business administration courses.

Development Path
  • Month 1: Learn systems, shadow onboarding & admin tasks.
  • Month 2: Own data accuracy, vendor coordination & support events.
  • Month 3: Run onboarding end-to-end, manage ops independently, and provide insights for process improvement.
