Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our team at Datacore Technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing complex corporate IT infrastructure, with a focus on database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support failover clustering, SAN replication, database replication (snapshot and transactional), SQL high availability technologies, analysis services, integration services, and reporting services
  • Perform performance tuning and management specifically related to SQL Server
  • Troubleshoot and write complex queries
  • Support other critical technologies including MS Exchange, Active Directory, operating systems, AV protection, monitoring and configuration systems, virtualization, storage, and web infrastructure
  • Provide 24/7 production and development support for business-critical applications and servers

Requirements:

  • 5 years of previous experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role
  • 5 years of previous experience in a senior database administrator role
  • 2 years of previous experience supporting failover clustering, SAN replication, database replication, SQL high availability technologies, analysis services, integration services, and reporting services
  • 2 years of previous experience of performance tuning and management specifically related to SQL Server
  • 1 year of troubleshooting and writing complex queries
  • 3 years of previous experience supporting other critical technologies is desirable

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge with Red gate SQL Monitor and Redgate SQL Backup
  • Previous experience working within a financial services organization
  • Previous experience of data/devops including continuous integration
  • Previous experience of migrating between versions of SQL Server
