Food Service General Manager

The Food Service General Manager serves as the primary leader within the establishment. This role encompasses the comprehensive oversight of daily restaurant operations, ensuring adherence to company standards across all facets of the business, including food preparation and service, customer engagement, facility upkeep, inventory oversight, team leadership, recruitment, and retention of staff, as well as financial management. The goal is to guarantee that the highest quality of products and services is consistently delivered to every patron, alongside any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Efficiently manage the restaurant in alignment with company policies and guidelines, striving for complete customer satisfaction at all times. Oversee daily operations by scheduling staff, ordering supplies, and fostering team development. Manage profit and loss by adhering to cash control and security protocols, maintaining inventory levels, overseeing labor costs, analyzing financial reports, and implementing necessary corrective actions. Ensure the upkeep of equipment, facilities, and grounds through a structured preventative maintenance program. Lead the restaurant team by recruiting new members, conducting performance evaluations, identifying training needs, administering disciplinary measures, preparing for future staffing needs, and motivating and training team members to minimize turnover. Guarantee food quality and strive for complete customer satisfaction. Ensure the timely and effective execution of corporate and local marketing initiatives. Promote a safe working environment and customer experience by encouraging safe work practices among the team.

The ideal candidate should possess:

A passion for the hospitality industry. A strong commitment to operational excellence. A focus on developing capable, performance-oriented teams. Business acumen, including an understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, competitor activities, and the ability to analyze financial statements. A dedication to delivering outstanding customer service. Experience in launching new establishments. Educational background and experience preferred: a 3-year degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management with 3+ years of experience, or a 1-year diploma in Hospitality with 3+ years of relevant work experience, or a graduate degree (any field) with 5+ years of professional experience.
