Head of Operations Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead our MICE division in Delhi. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event operations and leadership, with a strong understanding of the MICE industry.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Manage end-to-end operations of MICE events, including logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and team management.
    • Lead the operations team, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management.
    • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and client relations to align operational execution with business goals.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, venues, and service providers to secure competitive rates and quality services.
    • Conduct site inspections, assess venues, and ensure all event requirements are met.
    • Monitor and evaluate operational efficiency, implement process improvements, and drive cost optimization.
    • Oversee compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards during event execution.
    • Handle risk management and contingency planning for seamless event delivery.
    • Prepare operational reports and MIS for senior management and clients.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years in event operations or related roles, with 3+ years in MICE operations leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of the MICE industry, event management best practices, and vendor management.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, event management software, and reporting tools.
