Job Title: Sustainability Data Scientist

  • • Develop and maintain robust climate data models using Python.
  • • Work with high-resolution datasets to generate actionable insights for extreme climate events.
  • • Utilize AI/ML toolkits and pipelines to integrate datasets into climate models.

This role involves collaborating with a team of professionals to create cutting-edge climate data models using Python. The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing extreme climate event models using tools like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS/QGIS, and Python. Proficiency in Python (including NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL, etc.) is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in Civil Engineering/Geospatial/Hydrology/Water Resources or a related field.
  • • Strong interest in extreme climate event modelling.
  • • Practical experience in building extreme climate event models.
  • • Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL, etc.).
  • • Familiarity with climate event risk assessment and analysis.
  • • Knowledge of industry-standard software and tools (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS/QGIS).
