About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer – Developer Productivity / Platform Engineering professional to lead initiatives that enhance developer experience (DevEx), accelerate release cycles, and build scalable internal platforms. This role combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and strategy with a strong focus on creating tools, frameworks, and platforms that directly impact developer velocity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Developer Productivity / Platform Engineering team, setting the vision and execution roadmap.
  • Design and develop internal tools/platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions such as Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, and service monitoring tools.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Educate and evangelize team's work internally and externally through workshops, training sessions, conferences, blogs, and open-source contributions.
  • Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and cultivate a culture of experimentation and learning.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in platform/dev productivity roles.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, and code quality gates.
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java programming languages with a preference for Go.
  • Experience designing ephemeral environments and monitoring/observability tools.
  • A proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
