
Director of Academic Development

A Lead Academic Strategist leads and manages the overall academic process, overseeing college operations and staff under senior management guidance. They are responsible for administrative tasks, efficient conduct of educational programs, and integrating plans with those of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership:
- Develop and maintain an academic plan for the institution.
- Establish policies and procedures for high-quality academic offerings.
- Plan, renew, and develop academic programs to ensure quality and effectiveness.
- Closely work with faculty and staff to meet academic goals.
- Encourage students in national/international education programs.
- Link learning objectives to industry requirements.
- Maintain and develop assessment frameworks.
- Research Programs:
- Implement research policies as per guidelines.
- Setup processes and structures for high-quality research.
- Promote ethically accountable research and increase research outcomes.
- Create a dynamic research environment for staff and students.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure policy compliance with statutory guidelines.
- Enforce decisions and policies as per regulatory body guidelines.
- Ensure accreditation standards for academic programs.
- Others:
- Participate in enhancing school visibility in academics.
- Participate in financial activities and mentor the team.
- Prepare students for placement and interface with industry leaders.
Primary Key Results Areas (KRAs):
- Academics Goals: Effective delivery of academic programs/courses, satisfactory conduct of co/extracurricular activities & campus discipline, responsible for overall academic process quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Annual recognition, periodical accreditation, and equivalence.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree with outstanding academic credentials throughout, including a Ph.D. degree from a reputable institution.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of professor or 13 years of experience in research/industry.
- Post-Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of best practices and research in curriculum, assessment, and instruction.
