About the Role:

The role plays an important part in leading and managing overall college & staff members under the guidance of the Senior Management and in line with the Group's Philosophy, Culture, Values, and the Vision.

The Director shall be responsible for the administration and efficient conduct of the educational program of the college and for integrating the plans of the college with those of the university.

Job Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an academic plan for the institute.
  • Establish necessary policy and procedures to ensure that the academic offerings of the faculty are relevant and of high quality.
  • Responsible for overall planning, renewal, and development of academic programs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of programs.
  • Work closely with faculty and staff and constantly monitor to ensure all academic goals are met.
  • Encourage students to participate in various national/international education programs to enrich and enhance their exposure.
  • Ensuring learning objectives are linked to industry requirements.
  • Maintain and develop an appropriate assessment framework.
  • Propose and manage the Academic budget & ensuring all essential activities are supported and that services are cost-effective.

Research Programs:

  • Development and implementation of research policies as per guidelines.
  • Setting up of necessary processes and structures to facilitate research of high quality.
  • Initiate and promote ethically accountable research of quality and increase research outcomes.
  • Create a dynamic and forward-looking research environment for both staff and students.
  • Mentor and encourage faculty to focus on the development of research programs.

Regulatory:

  • Ensure policy and procedures of the institute comply with statutory guidelines.

Experience / Knowledge :

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/Industry, out of which at least 3 Years shall be at the level of Professor, or 13 Years of experience in research / Industry
  • Post Ph.D. publications and guiding PHD students are highly desirable
  • Knowledge of best practices and research in curriculum, assessment, and instruction
  • Should be well acquainted with the various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies, and the procedures.
  • Should have strong linkages & network with the industry & academics.
  • Industry experience at an eminent position will be preferred
