The subject matter expert will be working as an on-site consultant for a national assessment centre, developing and reviewing items for large-scale assessments and surveys administered to 10 million+ learners. The role involves developing tools for holistic progress mapping, multidisciplinary teaching practices, and holistic assessments.

  • Provide expert knowledge of psychometrics, educational measurement, and large-scale educational testing programs to define and shape studies and activities to support the creation and successful operation of national assessment centres.
  • Frame problems and propose solutions to challenges faced in establishing national assessment centres.
  • Design and lead research studies, including overseeing the work of experts.
  • Consult clients on psychometric and data issues related to conducting large scale assessment programs and related topics.
  • Complete statistical and research plans and review results for reasonableness and accuracy.
  • Prepare reports and presentations of project study results and present these to stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization and its interests to clients.
  • Coordinate the work of experts at headquarters and all other locations.
  • Conduct seminars on psychometric issues for staff, test committees, clients, and policy boards.
  • Coach and mentor staff, as appropriate.
  • Participate in interviewing and training staff as needed.
  • Contribute to training of client and organizational staff on the principles of psychometrics and educational measurement.
