Job Summary

This role requires an expert in enterprise networking to lead the design and implementation of network architectures for customers.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern virtualized and cloud-native networking approaches, as well as hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies in multi-vendor environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert network design and troubleshooting guidance to teams for customer deployments.
  • Partner with Engineering to address network architecture challenges and resolve complex escalations.
  • Support pre-sales engineers in designing network architectures for customer proposals and technical validations.
Solution Design & Integration
  • Design and document best practice network architectures for integrating with physical and virtual network infrastructures.
  • Guide integration efforts across multiple vendor and open-source platforms.
  • Perform configuration, testing, and optimization of networking components in customer and lab environments.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Develop internal guides for network design, deployment, and troubleshooting in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
  • Create documentation to support network planning and implementation.
  • Deliver enablement sessions on networking topics and technologies.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Stay current with advancements in networking, SDN, NFV, and cloud-native network architectures.
  • Work with Engineering to propose features and enhancements for improved network integration and automation.
  • Contribute to the refinement of delivery methodologies for network design and implementation.
Required Skills
  • 15+ years of enterprise networking experience, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Firewall-as-a-Service, VPN-as-a-Service, and Load Balancer-as-a-Service solutions.
  • Expertise in routing, switching, VLANs, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and related protocols.
  • Strong background in software-defined networking and network function virtualization.
  • Experience with OpenStack Neutron services and plugins, as well as integrations with major SDN controllers.
  • Specialization in VMware networking or OpenStack networking, with ability to work across both stacks preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native networking for Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
