About the Job

This position involves accurately and efficiently posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts based on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), electronic remittance advice (ERA), and other payment documentation. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of financial data and support revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payment Posting: Post insurance payments, ERAs, and patient payments into dental billing software with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile deposits with bank statements and daily payment reports to ensure all payments are accounted for.
  • Claims Review: Review EOBs and ERAs to identify underpayments, overpayments, and denials.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Flag and escalate discrepancies or trends in denials or payment issues to the appropriate department.
  • Adjustments: Post adjustments according to payer contracts and internal policies.
  • Account Maintenance: Maintain the accuracy of patient accounts and balances.
  • Collections: Collaborate with the appeals or collections team for timely resolution of denied or unpaid claims.
  • Compliance: Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in payment posting.
  • Experience with dental management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Full English proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-suite applications.
