Job Opportunity: Distributed Database Engineer

This is a full-time on-site role for a Distributed Database Engineer located in multiple locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing distributed database systems.

The key tasks include architecture reviews, performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and providing PoCs, pilots, and production deployments for clients. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of database systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strong customer-facing communication and consulting skills are essential
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing distributed databases, including in-memory computing, caching, or data grids is required
  • Skills in database management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting are necessary
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Go, C++, Python) is expected
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions and their deployment is desirable
  • Prior experience in delivering or supporting mission-critical, high-availability systems in industries such as finance, telecom, or eCommerce is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical support experience are required
  • Experience with enterprise system architectures and Linux-based environments is expected
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
  • Relevant certifications in database management or related technologies are a plus

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing distributed database systems

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Go, C++, Python)

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions and their deployment

• Strong customer-facing communication and consulting skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
