  • The Housekeeping Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that high standards are maintained in all areas of housekeeping and laundry.">
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve departmental targets and objectives.">
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers and stakeholders.">
  • Key responsibilities include:">
  1. ">
  2. Assist with overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure consistently high operating standards.">
  3. Support departmental targets and objectives, including budgets, schedules and policies and procedures.">
  4. Perform routine inspections of all housekeeping areas and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper.">
  5. Implement and enforce all housekeeping policies and procedures, including health and safety and security protocols.">
  6. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of all housekeeping team members, providing training and support as needed.">
  7. Ensure that team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities.">
  8. Assist the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers.">
  9. Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.">
  10. Deputise in absence of the Executive Housekeeper as required.">
  11. Provide excellent guest service and assist other departments wherever necessary.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.">
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a housekeeping management role.">
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.">
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and policies.">
  • Certification in hospitality management or related field (an asset).">
