Job Title:

Senior Product Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Development Manager with extensive experience in leading complex product development programs from concept to launch.

This role demands a strategic leader who can manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product development strategies, involving electronics hardware, embedded systems, firmware, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and suppliers to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and high product yield.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations across multiple stakeholders.
  • Interface with OEMs, PCB design houses, and vendors regularly to ensure project plans are updated periodically and plans are put in place to avoid execution delays.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and risk mitigation plans.
  • Drive execution excellence with clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regular program reviews.
  • Manage change control and documentation for design revisions and process updates.
  • Interface with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to provide timely updates.
  • Connect with regulatory certification agencies to develop plans for product certification and drive schedules to meet product launch timelines.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of embedded products, including hardware design, firmware integration, validation, certification, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Work closely with embedded software and systems teams to ensure product functionality aligns with hardware constraints and timelines.
  • Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to validate integration, resolve technical blockers, and maintain quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, with a focus on embedded systems and firmware.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
