Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to perform technical checks on files daily, across various file types. The primary focus will be ensuring that our subtitles conform to industry standards, as well as meeting specific client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking language subtitles against industry guidelines and client requirements.
  • Verifying subtitles against reference material related to the project.
  • Implementing required instructions to ensure consistency and error-free final products.
  • Maintaining an extremely high quality of work with less than 1% error rate.
  • Updating work trackers to denote accurate project status.
  • Ensuring 100% on-time delivery for all clients.
  • Coordinating with PC and updating Project Notes to implement changes or fixes in languages.
  • Providing feedback to other users and departments when standard procedure is not followed.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with clients, both internal and external.
  • Taking ownership of one's work.
  • FOLLOWING department-specific schedules and guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring and coaching newer recruits to bring them up to expected quality standards.
  • Promoting teamwork.
  • Suggesting improvements to the platform or subtitling workflows.
  • Actively participating in job and personal knowledge training programs.
  • Displaying eagerness to learn other aspects of the process.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional audio sensitivity - ability to understand various English accents.
  • Good comprehension and communication skills.
  • Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests.
  • Team player, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of Computers and internet.
  • Good typing speed and accuracy.
  • Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests.
  • Accountable and dependable.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Methodical approach, disciplined work habits, and attention to detail.
