Financial Services Reconciliation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Financial Services Reconciliation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, posting, and reconciling payments received by the Revenue Team.

The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical and organizational skills, with the ability to integrate in-depth reconciliation area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Manage Incoming Payments: Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming payments, identifying any discrepancies or errors.
  • Retrieve and Post Remittances: Obtain and post remittances from applicable payor websites when necessary, adhering to department protocols.
  • Review and Adjust Payments: Review remittances for applicable adjustments, transferring balances to secondary or patient responsibility when appropriate.
  • Research and Correct Errors: Investigate and correct keying errors, documenting root causes and discrepancies.
  • Generate Reports: Produce reports based on department protocols, providing insights into payment trends and areas for improvement.
Desired Experience and Skillset
  • Education: Any relevant accounting degree with 3-7 years of experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of technical accounting principles and industry standards.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and software applications, with advanced financial statement preparation skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
