Job Title: Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Professional to join our team.

You will be responsible for handling daily accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily accounting tasks like Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and ledger entries
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and Management Information System (MIS) reports
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Income Tax Return (ITR), and other statutory requirements
  • Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis
  • Support audits with proper documentation
  • Generate reports as needed by management
  • Process entries like contra, journal, receipt, and payment
  • Work with teams to optimize costs and improve processes
  • Follow accounting standards and company policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, must have worked under a Certified Accountant (CA) or in a CA firm
  • Proficient in Tally (knowledge of Zoho or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools is a plus)
  • Good understanding of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, GST, MIS reporting, and compliances
  • Experience with inventory accounting is preferred (Fresh Produce domain is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools
