Job Title: User Researcher - Experience Designer

Cvent's UX team focuses on delivering exceptional user experiences for planners and attendees. We are seeking a senior-level User Researcher to join our collaborative environment.

As a key member of the User Research team, you will be responsible for designing and conducting evaluative research studies to build deep user understanding and empathy. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales teams to formulate and address research questions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience, design, research, or related fields, with 4-19 years of experience conducting user research within a UX team. They will demonstrate knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices, as well as experience with quantitative survey programming and analysis, UX research for meeting/event planners, and enterprise software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct evaluative research studies (e.g., card sort, tree testing, usability, heuristics evaluations) and support generative research efforts for specified products or small program areas.
  • Help teams cross-functionally by synthesizing and communicating the right information, defining and measuring success.
  • Create testable hypotheses and use research findings to support, challenge, and innovate Cvent's product.
  • Apply expertise and knowledge of research methodologies, human factors, the user-centered design process, and statistics to product and service design in an iterative development environment.
  • Work with various teams to formulate and address research questions.
  • Independently and collaboratively plan, execute, and analyze research across product or program areas.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in the study of user experience, design, research, business, or related fields.
  • 4-19 years of conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and experience working on enterprise software (good to have).
