The role of a Compliance Officer is to champion ethics and integrity within an organization.
This pivotal position involves leading internal investigations, managing workplace conduct policies, conducting training programs, and reinforcing corporate values.
You will collaborate with Human Resources and leadership teams to ensure that company policies uphold trust and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal investigations into alleged misconduct or policy breaches.
- Manage compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and deliver training programs to foster a culture of integrity.
- Review and update policies related to workplace conduct and ethics.
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and company values.
- Maintain confidential reporting systems and protect employees from retaliation.
Strategic Functions:
- Shape organizational culture by embedding ethical principles in decision-making and leadership practices.
- Monitor compliance trends and address emerging risks proactively.
- Advise senior leadership on ethical dilemmas and policy implications.
- Support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives through ethical oversight.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- A deep understanding of labour laws, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance.
- High emotional intelligence and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
