Operational Risk Management Leader Opportunity

This is a senior-level position responsible for leading and managing independent projects across operational risk management areas for financial institutions.

About the Role

  • Manage projects related to internal control assessments, SOPs and policies, third-party risk management, incident management and reporting, loss data, and business continuity.
  • Develop detailed project plans for timely delivery and review existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices.
  • Identify changes to the risk profile and assess its impact on the risk heat map.
  • Maintain independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation and presentation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients' process owners and risk department for timely completion and finalization of projects.
  • Provide regular updates on project execution and quality reviews.
  • Highlight findings that warrant discussions with Risk Management Committees.
  • Communicate value provided to clients through risk dashboards and analytics.
  • Work with stakeholders to investigate operational risk and governance standards and conduct detailed risk and control self-assessment (RCSA).
  • Develop and present proposals, pitch decks, and thought leadership documents across ORM related areas.
  • Lead teams, mentor, and manage project management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Requirements

  • 9-12 years of experience in operational risk, incident management, third-party risks, business continuity planning, loss data, fraud risk, internal controls, SOPs, and policies.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or CA, ACCA, MBA equivalent.
  • Project Management and ORM certifications beneficial.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Experience with GRC tools like MetricStream, SAP GRC beneficial.
