Operational Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Operational Risk Management Specialist to lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas.

  • Nature of Role: Full time, independent projects with varied responsibilities that will challenge and engage the right candidate.
  • Years of Experience Expected: 5-12 years in operational risk management areas including Operational Risk, Incident Management, Third Party Risks, Business Continuity Planning, Loss Data, Risk-Based Process Reviews, Internal Controls, SOPs, and Policies.
  • Past Experience Preferred: Experience in GRC tools such as MetricStream, SAP GRC, and proficiency in Risk Management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Educational Qualification Expected: CA, MBA, or relevant Master's Program.
  • Additional Certifications Preferred: Project Management and ORM certifications.
  • Geography of Previous Work Experience: India, Middle East, APAC regions.
  • Application Experience: Proficiency in using GRC tools for managing risk-based processes.
  • Language Requirements: Fluent English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas, leveraging expertise in risk assessment, control design, and policy implementation.
  • Review, verify, and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices for theoretical soundness and business relevance.
  • Meet business needs and regulatory expectations for assessing key aspects of each area under review.
  • Demonstrate independence in planning, stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation, and presentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams from various departments, investigating operational risk and governance standards.
  • Deep understanding of process risk and controls, compliance requirements, and financial services industry.
  • Responsible for preparation of proposals, pitch decks, presenting in client meetings, and thought leadership documents.
  • Team building, mentoring, and project management.
