Job Title

A Freelance Data Scientist is required to uncover insights and build predictive models using analytical expertise and domain knowledge in the healthcare space.

  • Large-scale claims and provider datasets will be extracted, cleaned, and analyzed.
  • SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL scripts will be developed and optimized for data extraction and transformation.
  • Statistical methods and machine learning techniques will be applied using Python – Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn to generate actionable insights.
  • Dashboards, reports, and visualizations will be built to communicate findings.
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and ensure data accuracy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.

  • Hands-on experience working with healthcare claims and provider data.
  • Advanced SQL expertise (data manipulation, aggregation, performance tuning).
  • Strong Python skills with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Additional Information

Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HIPAA, ICD, CPT, NPI) is a strong plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work in fast-paced environments.
