Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer

">Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions, with in-depth expertise in data modeling, data analysis, and data visualization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating complex data models, building and maintaining datasets, and developing Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights and enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to meet business requirements.
  • Build and maintain data models, datasets, and Power Automate flows, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across reports.
  • Develop and optimize DAX queries and calculations for high-performance results.
  • Connect to various data sources, including SQL Server, Azure, APIs, Excel, and other cloud-based services, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver intuitive, user-friendly visualizations.
  • Partner with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure data governance, security protocols, and brand consistency across all reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI performance issues, optimizing report load times and improving overall efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing training, documentation, and support to end-users, ensuring they can fully utilize Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, tools, and best practices, introducing innovative ideas to enhance reporting capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
  • High proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M Query for complex calculations, as well as a knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes, such as Azure Data Factory and Power Query.
  • Experience with Power BI Service, Power BI Apps, and Row-Level Security (RLS), as well as a solid understanding of data modeling concepts like Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure, SharePoint, and APIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with Python or R for advanced data analysis would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration with Power BI would also be an asset.
