Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Management Specialist to join our team at TheSqua. As a key member of our revenue team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing profitability through effective revenue management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies to optimize room rates and occupancy levels.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Provide weekly revenue forecasts and variance analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution channels.
  • Ensure all online travel agencies (OTAs) and social media portals are configured correctly and working to full capacity.
  • Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department.
  • Ensure the website booking process is maintained up-to-date and functional.
  • Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates.
  • Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new, less expensive means of delivering business.
  • Collaborate with the Channel Manager to update rates, rate plans, and ensure perfect synchronization with our Property Management System (PMS).
  • Assess, analyze, and price rate and group business strategies.
  • Be a numbers-savvy and revenue-minded individual responsible for daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments, and reporting.
  • Highly confident in the use of Excel.
  • Support the Revenue Manager in analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and demand forecasts.
  • Develop pricing strategies for various products and services, ensuring they are competitive and attractive to clients.
  • Manage inventory, allocating rooms, monitoring sales, and adjusting availability based on demand and strategic goals.
  • Regularly monitor and report on revenue performance, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and generating reports to inform decision-making.
  • Implement yield management strategies to maximize revenue, making decisions on pricing and availability in response to demand variations.
  • Utilize various tools and technology for data analysis and decision-making, including specialized revenue management software.
  • Forecast future revenue and assist in the budgeting process, setting revenue targets and identifying potential areas for revenue growth.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and practices, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in OTA revenue management.
  • Customer Insight and Feedback Analysis: Analyze customer feedback and market research to understand customer preferences and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Account support work is required to support the reservation team in daily administrative tasks, such as handling calls, live chat, and converting inquiries into bookings.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Revenue Management, managing OTAs, competitive benchmarking, and competitive pricing (preferably from the Travel/Hospitality sector).
  • Preference for someone with prior experience in handling reservations and guest bookings.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High energy levels, good analytical and problem-solving skills, organizing skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work in the assigned shift.
  • Willingness to travel to the work location.
