Shipbuilding Technical Specialist

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marine Draftsman to fill this key role in our engineering team. As a Shipbuilding Technical Specialist, you will play a critical part in transforming engineering designs into precise technical drawings for marine and offshore projects.

Your Profile:

  • Diploma or relevant certification in Marine Drafting, Technical Drawing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in marine/offshore drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software, with strong skills in 2D DWG creation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ship structures, offshore platforms, floating assets, and related terminology.
  • Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Independent, responsible for project outcomes, and strongly client-focused.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic startup environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to create detailed 2D technical drawings.
  • Prepare comprehensive drawings for ships, offshore platforms, structural layouts, systems arrangements, and fabrication details.
  • Revise and update existing drawings based on design changes.
  • Engage directly with clients to clarify drawing requirements and specifications.
  • E nsure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific details.
