Role Description

The position of RISQ/RMA/HPC team, as second line of defense within the Risk Function, is to provide Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) management for funds, proprietary trading groups and CCPs.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data on clients to prepare high-quality assessments addressing their credit risk and transaction risk.
  • Perform risk evaluations, including conducting due diligence on clients when necessary.
  • Effectively challenge credit ratings and credit limits proposed by first-line defense.
  • Actively monitor risk exposures across various metrics and indicators, and counterparty creditworthiness.
  • Raise alerts as necessary to the business, first-line defense, and 2nd line of defense management.
  • Review or propose risk mitigation strategies when deemed necessary.
  • Present recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to risk officers with delegations.
  • Ccoordinate credit requests, liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, Global advisory divisions, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to transversal analyses and projects, such as reviewing methodologies or CCR management processes.

  • Monitoring risk exposures and raising alerts as necessary.
CompetenciesTechnical Expertise
  • Excellent quantitative skills.
  • Experience reading and understanding legal documentation.
  • Ability to form, defend, and enforce a risk judgment and take decisions independently.
  • Strong analysis and synthesis abilities, relevancy, and objectivity in analysis.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior personnel, both internally and with clients.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, OTC traded products, securities lending business, and committed financing facilities.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition using quantitative and qualitative data.
