Corporate Chief Engineer Job Description

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the engineering team, ensuring that our facilities operate at peak performance while minimizing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive engineering policies across all resorts.
  • Oversee capital expenditure projects, including renovations and new builds, to ensure timely and budget-aligned delivery.
  • Set benchmarks and KPIs for property-level engineering teams, driving energy conservation initiatives and sustainable practices.

Maintenance & Operations

  • Ensure optimal functioning of MEP systems through proactive maintenance and regular audits.
  • Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues swiftly, prioritizing guest satisfaction and facility standards.

Energy & Sustainability

  • Drive energy conservation initiatives, leveraging expertise in building systems and CMMS tools.
  • Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards, reducing environmental footprint and costs.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties, conducting audits and mitigating risks proactively.
  • Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Team Development & Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Manage annual engineering budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Approve expenditures for maintenance and capital projects, maintaining fiscal discipline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Advanced certifications in facility or energy management preferred.
  • 15+ years in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Expertise in building systems and CMMS tools, with knowledge of sustainable practices and energy conservation techniques.
