About us:

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a premier educational institution with a strong focus on science and engineering.

Established in 1958, it has earned a reputation for its faculty, research capabilities, industry connections, and the high calibre of students graduating from its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Institute comprises 17 academic departments, 35 other academic entities, and three schools. Over the years, more than 75,000 engineers and scientists have graduated from the Institute.

About the Centre:

The Motilal Oswal Centre for Capital Markets (MOCCM) aims to promote education, research, training, and innovation in financial markets, fintech, quantitative finance, and investment management.

Job Purpose:

The Program Director will oversee the strategic, academic, and operational initiatives of the Centre.

  • The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with experience in academia, research management, or the financial services industry, capable of building interdisciplinary collaborations and driving impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To formulate and execute the long-term vision and strategy of the Centre.
  2. To develop programs and initiatives aligned with the Centre's mandate in financial markets research and education.
  1. To provide support for research projects, working papers, and publications in financial markets and related areas.
  2. To support faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  3. To organise training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
  1. To build partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other organisations.
  2. To represent the Centre at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.

Desired Profile:

  • A master's or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in academic and/or research institutions, regulatory bodies, financial services companies, industry associations, or relevant organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
