Oracle Database Administrator Role

This position involves working as an Oracle Database Administrator responsible for optimizing database performance, ensuring seamless data integration and access.

Database Performance Optimization:

  • Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks impacting application/api efficiency.
  • Tune SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures and indexes for optimal response times.
  • Implement best practices for connection pooling, partitioning and caching strategies.

Integration & Application Support:

  • Collaborate with API gateway teams to optimize database interaction patterns.
  • Support transaction flows from APIs into Oracle.
  • Ensure efficient database design for high-concurrency web applications.

Cloud Integration & Operational Excellence:

  • Manage data synchronization between on-prem Oracle and Fusion Cloud Oracle DB.
  • Implement pub/sub mechanisms for customer data exchange.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot replication/data transfer issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c performance tuning, indexing, partitioning and optimizer hints.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures and index management.
  • Experience with cloud-based database systems and integration platforms.
