We are seeking a skilled Database Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our databases.

The Database Specialist will be responsible for ensuring database performance and security by managing locking mechanisms, process blocking, and performance tuning. Additionally, this role involves designing high-availability architectures, managing backup and restoration processes, and developing monitoring tooling and dashboards for database performance.

This position requires strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems and break down technical concepts into clear explanations. You should have advanced knowledge of relational database architecture and experience with MSSQL. Proficiency in SSMS and SSRS is also necessary. Experience with Always On High Availability Groups is an asset.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing database solutions

  • Developing and deploying new database objects
  • Creating complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers
