About the Job:

We seek an experienced Oracle Database Specialist to lead database migration across Data Center and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments, including backup/recovery, replication, and monitoring with strong leadership and project management skills to ensure successful migrations, minimal downtime, and seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle across assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices (zero/near-zero downtime, HA/DR).
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across various environments.
  • Perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, and proactive alerting.
  • Document migration runbooks, rollback procedures, and knowledge transfer.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
