Senior Oracle Exadata DBA

This is a key role for an experienced Oracle Exadata Database Administrator. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-availability, high-performance Oracle databases on Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). They will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration:
  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale Oracle database environments on Exadata and OCI.
  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure optimal database performance, availability, and security.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on database design and implementation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Cloud Migration:
  • Plan, execute, and validate cloud migrations from on-premises to OCI.
  • Work closely with clients to identify business benefits and develop migration strategies that meet their needs.
  • Ensure smooth transition of applications and data to the cloud environment.
  • Capacity Planning:
  • Analyze client workload patterns to determine capacity requirements.
  • Develop plans to scale up or down as needed to meet changing demands.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure alignment with their business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle database administration, including at least 3 years on Exadata.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Multitenant architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with ERP systems on Oracle databases.
  • Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS.
