Oracle Database Administrator Position

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to oversee the daily operation of our databases.

  • Database Administration: Ensure optimal performance and reliability by installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle database software.
  • Security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with a solid foundation in database concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write efficient and effective database code.
Key Skills
  • Database Administration: Expertise in Oracle database architecture, including datafiles, control files, redo logs, and undo management.
  • Security: Understanding of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.
Technical Requirements
  • Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM), including configuration, management, and monitoring of database environments.
  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.
