Production Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor is a key role that oversees daily, weekly and monthly objectives, manages workflow, guides and coaches employees, monitors productivity, ensures safe equipment use, and maintains systems and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives to employees.
  • Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Guide and coach employees, monitoring their productivity.
  • Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and its utilization for improvements.

Strategic Objectives:
  • Maintain operations in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Maintain systems, guidelines, procedures and formats as required.
  • Operate DCS systems, monitor and control chemical processes, equipment, and machinery.
  • Produce accurate records of production processes, equipment performance, and quality control data.

Operational Activities:
  • Monitor and control chemical processes, equipment, and machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation as per defined procedure.
  • Understand and operate DCS system.
  • Plan, control and execute batches optimization in plant.
  • Supervise batches charging and verification of RM quantity as per SOP.
  • Handle solvent recovery process.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement safety measures to prevent accidents.
  • Provide safety training and education to plant personnel.

Quality Control:
  • Monitor and maintain product quality by conducting in-process quality checks and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent future problems.

Qualifications:
  • B Sc in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-9 years of experience in production department.

Competencies:
  • Production Process Knowledge.
  • Inventory Management Skills.
  • Quality Management Systems Experience.
  • SAP Knowledge.
