The role of Quality Assurance Manager involves overseeing the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System within an organization's operations and laboratories. This includes ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 standards as well as regulatory requirements across all testing and inspection activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the QMS to ensure its compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Monitor and ensure that the management system is implemented in various departments and provide feedback to management on its effectiveness.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits and manage corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Registration of customer complaints and their resolution through investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Train staff on QMS requirements, quality procedures and testing standards.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks for tests carried out in the laboratory using appropriate tools.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Quality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or laboratory management, preferably within petroleum or chemical testing services.
  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 laboratory accreditation processes.
  • Experience with auditing and regulatory compliance.
  • Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 is an advantage.

This position requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking and effective communication. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
