Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Strategist to spearhead our company's strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying emerging business opportunities and driving them forward.

 

  • Conduct continuous scanning of the IoT ecosystem to identify emerging technologies, new business models, competitor moves, and untapped market spaces.
  • Develop insightful research reports on long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to our current business landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for an individual with exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, who can develop robust business cases from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.

  • Design and execute rigorous validation processes for new opportunity hypotheses, utilizing primary customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.
  • Build and leverage a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.

 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy role such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

 

Preferred:

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through to launch.
