We are seeking an exceptional Software & Control Automation Engineer to join our team, focusing on Python Scripting for the Automotive Segment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering principles and clean coding practices, with expertise in developing, simulating, and testing powertrain systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines, and their integration into the vehicle.

In this role, you will work with cutting-edge AI tools, leveraging your proficiency in designing GUI using Python or MATLAB to optimize workflow, and experience validating and adapting AI-generated code responsibly.

Your tasks will include:

  • Developing, integrating, and maintaining Python scripts and automation tools that align with existing codebases
  • Using state-of-the-art AI tools to develop solutions meeting quality, performance, and functionality requirements
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining unit and integration tests using frameworks like pytest or unit test, ensuring high test coverage and meaningful assertions
  • Omitting existing scripts for performance, maintainability, and readability
  • Follower consistent coding standards and modern Python practices

A successful candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of core experience in Automation using python/MATLAB/C-coding for Automotive SW development
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and clean coding practices
  • Proficiency with modern Python features and libraries (e.g., typing, f-strings, context managers)
  • Experience validating and adapting AI-generated code responsibly
  • Proficiency in designing GUI using Python or MATLAB to optimize workflow
  • Test Automation Framework Development
  • Good working experience in manual C coding & m-scripting
  • Good presentation - and English language skills
