Job Title: Project Cost Estimator

As a seasoned Project Cost Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate capital cost estimates for our projects. This involves analyzing construction costs, advising on building economics, and drafting contract packages. Your expertise will also be essential in providing advice on tendering procedures, developing tender evaluation criteria, and commercial evaluation of all tender submissions.

To succeed in this position, you will require strong understanding of the QS & cost management processes, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills in English. You should have a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree or Chartered QS qualification, with 5 to 10 years' experience in the industry. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing capital cost estimates
  • Advising on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements
  • Drafting contract packages, including amendments to standard forms
  • Preparing pricing documents for tender packages
  • Providing advice on tendering procedures
  • Drafting instructions to tenderers
  • Developing tender evaluation criteria
  • Drafting PQQ questionnaires
  • Commercial evaluation of all tender submissions and negotiation with tenderers
  • Ascertainment of amounts due to contractors for price variation
  • Determination of amounts of claims
  • Preparing and feeding into monthly Cost Reports

Requirements:
