The Marine Personnel Associate will play a critical role in supporting the Marine Personnel team in Mumbai. As an understudy to the Marine Personnel Assistant Manager/Marine Personnel Operations Manager, this individual will be responsible for liaising with seafarers to update the Crew Management System (CMS) and complete all pre-joining formalities.
The position will work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of seafarers, verifying STCW and Flag State documents, preparing letters for travel, and uploading relevant documents to the CMS. Additionally, the Marine Personnel Associate will be responsible for ensuring that all joining seafarers undergo Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) with a Company-approved doctor.
The key performance indicators for this role include:
- Successfully arranging seafarers to join at the right time, place, and cost
- Ensuring all seafarers have valid certificates/documents and complete pre-joining processes as per company guidelines
- Verifying STCW COC and COP through authentication checks
- Maintaining accurate records of seafarers' Sea Certificates
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A graduate degree from a recognized university and proficiency in English
- Previous experience in maritime crewing operations
- Ability to work effectively with technology and digital initiatives
