Key Responsibilities:

  • Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the existing data architecture across the enterprise, ensuring seamless integration with current and future business needs.
  • They will design and implement an enterprise-wide data strategy to support business objectives, applying knowledge of good architecture practice, documentation, and cutting-edge data technologies.
  • The successful candidate will capture the current state of the holistic data architecture and oversee target state design and implementation, providing technical architecture direction and oversight to delivery teams.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders including business heads, data teams, IT heads, and external tech partners is essential.

Main Duties:

  • The key responsibilities include documenting detailed holistic enterprise data architecture for both current and target states, capturing the enterprise data model, and aligning it with conceptual and logical models.
  • Our ideal candidate will set the strategy for data architecture to support business and IT strategies, maintain data architecture principles, and create data architecture documents and templates for change initiatives.
  • They will lead data architecture governance forums, provide subject matter expert input to architecture decisions, manage a holistic roadmap of architecture change initiatives, and provide technical expertise for change initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will build and maintain appropriate enterprise architecture artefacts, including entity relationship models, data dictionaries, and taxonomies.
  • They will provide technical oversight to solution architects, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture and data governance standards.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end-users.
  • Over 10 years of experience in architecting and implementing enterprise data warehouses, master data management, data integration, BI & analytics, content management, and data management platforms.
  • Experience creating and implementing data strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in cloud and on-prem solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation processes and supporting technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of analytics and AI/ML solutions, problem-solving, and data modelling skills.
  • Experience mapping key enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident and methodical approach, and ability to work within a team environment.
