Job Title: Senior Cloud Data Collection Architect

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud data collection solutions. They should be proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with a strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the cloud collections team to design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure data collection frameworks across various cloud platforms.
  • Architect and implement big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark to collect and process large datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of cloud collection processes with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the integration of diverse data sources into centralized cloud data lakes or warehouses.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data quality, governance, and compliance in cloud collections.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends related to data collection and cloud architecture.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud data collection, cloud engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong expertise in cloud storage solutions (S3, Azure Blob Storage, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Proficiency in data ingestion tools and frameworks (Apache NiFi, Kafka, AWS Glue, etc.).
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
  • Experience leading and managing technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
