Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Data Pipeline Design and Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to lead the design and development of our data pipeline infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-native data engineering, with expertise in building scalable and secure data pipelines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks, enabling real-time and batch data analytics across our data platform.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and Implementing Scalable Data Pipelines: Using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and other cloud-based tools.
  • Developing and Maintaining ETL/ELT Processes: For structured and unstructured data using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • Implementing Change Data Capture (CDC), Streaming Pipelines, and Batch Ingestion: With experience in AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, or GCP BigQuery, Dataflow as needed.
  • Optimizing Performance and Cost: Across data workloads and cloud environments.
  • Establishing and Maintaining Data Quality Frameworks: Observability tools and monitoring dashboards.
  • Defining and Enforcing Data Rules: Validations, anomaly detection, and reconciliation.
  • Implementing Data Lineage and Metadata Tracking: Using Azure Purview.
  • Driving Adoption of Data Cataloguing: Profiling, classification tools, and data versioning.
  • Collaborating with Data Stewards and Compliance Teams: Governance alignment and regulatory compliance.
  • Implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Data Masking, Encryption, and Tokenization: Ensuring data security and integrity.

Requirements:

  • BE/BTech/MCA: 4 to 8 years' experience in Data Engineering.
  • Personal Attributes: Consultative, socially confident, achievement oriented, decisive, action oriented, creative, eager to learn, resilient.
  • Competencies: Business foresight, influencing others, fostering partnerships with customers, managing transformation, driving excellence, leading teams, working across boundaries.

Mandatory Skills and Tools:

  • Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Event Hub, Azure Functions, PySpark, Python, SQL, GitOps for data, and data orchestration tools.

Experience with NLP or LLMs: In metadata extraction or data classification is a plus.
