Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and developing a platform for financial data, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software engineering and 2+ years of experience in architecting big data systems around technologies like Apache Spark and Hive.

The FinHub team is tasked with developing a platform for financial data, providing accurate and timely information critical for accounting and finance activities. This platform will serve as the golden source of truth for related data.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop a scalable and secure platform for financial data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps and provide technical guidance.
  • Mentor and Train junior engineers on design techniques, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Write High-Quality Code that meets the needs of customers, focusing on maintainability, performance, and reliability.
  • Hands-on Coding with expertise in big data systems, architecture, and software engineering processes.
  • Plan and Implement a multi-year strategy for Finhub engineering with technical leadership.
  • Engage with Upstream Teams and enforce SLAs for data availability and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting big data systems around technologies like Apache Spark and Hive.
  • Experience in uplevelling junior engineers via processes and setting high standards.
  • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
  • Expertise in integrating with APIs, developing financial tools, and transforming business/product data to accounting/financial domains.
