About this Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Portfolio Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in commercial banking and credit analysis to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the financial performance of companies and assess their creditworthiness based on various factors, including past and current performance, management projections, and market changes.
  • Analyze complex financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and statements of changes in equity, to determine accurate risk ratings.
  • Perform market research using third-party applications and compare the performance of borrowing entities against market data to draw conclusions about overall performance.
  • Determine appropriate risk ratings, both qualitative and quantitative, based on performance during the review period and compare them against bank credit guidelines.
  • Document and synthesize findings into credit reports for presentation to lending officers and/or approval committees.
  • Provide quality feedback on work performed by junior team members and mentor them in their roles.

Requirements:

  • MBA (Finance/Banking), Cost and Management Accountancy, Chartered Accountancy, or post-graduation in Economics.
  • At least 8 years of overall commercial credit experience across diversified asset classes, including corporate entities and real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements for various industries, with the ability to ascertain trends, ratios, and key risks when compared to benchmarks.
  • Well-versed in Discounted Cash Flow, Comparable Company, and Precedent Transaction analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on business writing skills for credit reports.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and synthesize data regarding borrower performance and market-related information from multiple sources into one prescribed template.
